Book your car
In order to book a car you must have an evee account. Have your credit card and driver’s licence ready so that we can verify you. evee will also verify your mobile phone via SMS.
How Payment Works
- The full rental fee is authorised on your credit card when requesting a booking. You will only be charged once the booking is confirmed.
- The security deposit is authorised 24 hours before start of the rental period and will be released after the vehicle has been returned undamaged.

Organise the Pick-up
Once your booking is confirmed, we share your contact details with the Host and the Host’s details with you. You can message them to arrange a time and exact location to pick up the car. At the time of pick up, take photos of the inside and outside of the car for your records and make sure to note any existing damage.

How do I charge the electric vehicle during my rental?
Public chargers are widely available, and you can quickly locate them using resources like PlugShare, or Google Maps which lists all charging stations in Australia. This resource also provides details on plug types, charging costs and availability.
For extra support, evee’s “charging concierge” service is available to help you plan charging stops and answer any questions you may have.
Can I have the electric car rental delivered to my location?
Yes, some hosts offer delivery services, including airport drop-offs or delivery to your preferred location. You can coordinate directly with the host to arrange delivery, which may incur an additional fee depending on the distance. Be sure to check the listing details or ask the host before booking for clarity on delivery options and any associated costs.
What happens if I have an issue during my rental?
If you experience any issues during your rental, you can contact the vehicle owner for immediate assistance. evee also offers 24/7 complimentary roadside assistance through NRMA and their national partner network, covering issues like depleted batteries, flat tyres, breakdowns and vehicle lockouts.
You simply need to call NRMA’s helpline with the vehicle registration number and inform them you’re renting via evee. Remember to keep your host updated, and for further help, evee’s customer support is available at all times.
